If you are in construction, you need a crane at some point. This could be for one project or for ongoing project needs. One of your options is to find the right crane for your needs and use a crane hire. Here are a few types of cranes to consider and what you need to know about each one and the projects they handle. 

All Terrain

Projects range when you are a contractor. You can have ones that have smooth terrain followed by ones with rougher terrain. The issue comes in when you have a project that has not only multiple levels and types of terrain, but also multiple changes in weather. You need a crane that can handle all of these conditions easily. Since the goals are to meet the deadline of the project and meet it as soon as possible, then an all-terrain crane is ideal. Carry Deck

You may have projects that require a smaller crane that should be centred in specific areas. For example, you may have areas that need to be cleared. However, with a crane that also has a 360-degree turn radius and is smaller than other cranes, you can clear the entire area easily. This type of crane is called a carry deck. It can be used for various projects where space is a consideration. 

Crawler

If part of your current project is moving heavy items over the entirety of the project landscape, or further, you may need a crawler crane. Crawler cranes are larger and can handle excessive amounts of weight. A project you may see a crawler crane on deals with bridge work. You will likely see crawlers used for moving parts of the bridge beams, iron foundations, or other bridge parts. This is because a crawler offers the ability to handle these parts easily and offers a 360-degree turn radius.
